We may collect information you provide directly, information generated through platform use, and information received from third parties when authorized or necessary for the placement workflow.

2. Student information

Student information may include:

• Full name, email address, phone number, and state of residence.
• School or university, program name, degree track, and NP specialty track.
• Course name or number, required clinical hours, requested specialty, requested dates, and requested state or region.
• RN license information.
• School coordinator contact information, course syllabus or objectives, and school preceptor/site requirements.
• FERPA or school communication consent and health-compliance attestation.
• School approval evidence, payment and billing status, and placement request status.
• Portal messages and support communications.

3. Preceptor information

Preceptor information may include:

• Full name, credentials, email address, and phone number.
• License information, specialty, and board certification when applicable.
• CV or professional bio.
• Practice site information, patient population, and clinical setting.
• Availability, student capacity, and credential review information.
• Portal messages and support communications.

4. School / program contact information

School or program contact information may include:

• Contact name, title, and school or organization.
• Email address and phone number.
• Inquiry type and placement request details, if applicable.
• Student consent confirmation, if applicable, and message content.

5. Payment information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors. PreceptMe may receive limited payment-related information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, amount paid, invoice status, refund status, and billing contact information. A 3% credit card processing fee applies only to credit card payments and is disclosed at checkout before payment. ACH is free at launch. PreceptMe does not intend to store full payment card numbers on its own systems.

6. Health-compliance records

Under the standard PreceptMe workflow, students submit health-compliance records directly to their school and/or clinical site. PreceptMe will not collect, store, verify, or act as a repository for raw student health-compliance records at launch. Public contact forms are not intended for immunization records, background checks, drug screens, TB results, BLS cards, or similar health-compliance records.

7. Automatically collected information

We may collect technical information such as:

• IP address, browser type, and device type.
• Pages visited, referring website, and time and date of access.
• Portal activity and cookie or similar technology data.

8. How we use information

We may use information to:

• Create and manage accounts and process placement requests.
• Coordinate School-Specific Preceptor Matching and prepare School-Ready Preceptor/Site Packets.
• Track school approval evidence and support affiliation workflow when applicable.
• Manage payment milestones and confirm readiness before rotation start.
• Communicate with students, preceptors, schools, and support contacts.
• Process preceptor applications and review credentials and license information.
• Respond to inquiries and improve website and platform functionality.
• Protect safety, security, and legal rights.
• Comply with applicable laws, policies, agreements, and operational requirements.

9. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Students, when needed for their placement request.
• Preceptors, when needed for placement coordination.
• Schools or clinical coordinators, when student consent and workflow requirements support communication.
• Clinical sites, when applicable to approval, onboarding, or site workflow.
• Service providers that help operate the website, portal, payment processing, communications, data storage, security, or support systems.
• Legal, compliance, or professional advisors.
• Government, regulatory, or legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• Successors or assigns in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or business transfer.

10. Student consent and school communication

PreceptMe may communicate with school representatives when the student provides consent or when otherwise permitted by applicable law and workflow requirements. PreceptMe does not guarantee that a school will communicate with PreceptMe or approve a proposed preceptor/site.

11. Cookies and tracking

PreceptMe may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, analytics, security, preferences, and user experience. Users may control certain cookie settings through browser settings or website cookie tools when available.

12. Data retention

PreceptMe retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, operational, tax, payment, dispute resolution, compliance, and recordkeeping purposes. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, user role, placement status, legal obligations, and business needs.

13. Data security

PreceptMe uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. PreceptMe cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. User choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other privacy choices related to your personal information. To make a privacy request, contact PreceptMe at contact@preceptme.org.

15. California privacy notice

California residents may have privacy rights under applicable California privacy laws, depending on whether those laws apply to PreceptMe. These rights may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive information uses, opt out of certain sale or sharing practices, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

PreceptMe does not intend to sell student personal information. If PreceptMe uses advertising or analytics tools that qualify as "sharing" under applicable law, PreceptMe will provide appropriate notice and choices as required. 16. Children's privacy

PreceptMe services are intended for adults and higher education users. PreceptMe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

17. Third-party links

The PreceptMe website or portal may link to third-party websites or services. PreceptMe is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

18. Updates to this policy

PreceptMe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
